Specialised Staff
Fish farming can be unpredictable at times and can throw up all kinds of scenarios where you find yourself short staffed. At Scotvax we are able to offer specialised staff to help with the intensive jobs that can arise on both fresh water hatcheries and sea sites. Holiday cover, sick leave and maternity/paternity cover are just a few of the many scenarios that can often leave you short staffed.

Our company's main focus is fish vaccination, but we can also offer specialised staff who have the experience from other sectors in fish farming.

Many of our staff, including our management team, have first hand fish farm hatchery experience, having worked full time in hatcheries, from feeding fish, operating pumps and grading, checking oxygen levels, cleaning of tanks, egg picking, data input in software systems such as Fishtalk, to full time in fish harvesting, full time sea site employees, and head maintenance and operation of fish vaccination machines.
Having Scotvax staff with this invaluable experience only adds assurance to our knowledge and understanding of the importance of professionally vaccinated fish, but also ensures our vaccinators have an unrivalled understanding and experience of the fish farming industry as a whole. With this, we can assist in other work required at your sites.
